We have reached the end of the play where Romeo and Juliet have now commited suicide.

In the end of the play we’ve discovered that Juliet has already taken the potion putting her into a deep sleep. However Romeo wasnt told about the plan that she was only faking it and actually believed that she killed herself. He was soo heartbroken that the love of his life was gone and believed that was nothing else to live for, so he took a poision which killed him.

Juliet then awakes finding that his hidden husband Romeo has taken his life. She also feels that there’s nothing to live for but picks up the bottle to find that there’s nothing in it. Dramatically, she picks up the dagger and stabs herself through the heart.

In the movie it is slightly different. Juliet awakes just after Romeo takes his life. Its makes it more dramatic, in my opinion because it strikes you that maybe if Juliet had maybe taken the potion earler she would have woken up ontime to stop Romeo. Thats one of the reasons why i give full rating to Baz Luhrmann. (Director and Producer.)
